چکیده

ligand because the smaller molecular forms, which would be better able to penetrate the agarose gel, are not bound, whereas the larger form does bind. The gel can also discriminate between acetylcholinesterase and cholinesterase. This is unexpected because edrophonium is a competitive inhibitor of both enzymes. This suggests that the coupling of a side chain to the meta-hydroxy group of edrophonium alters the inhibitory properties of the molecule.

Gyration Radius and Energy Study at Different Temperatures for Acetylcholine Receptor Protein in Gas Phase by Monte Carlo, Molecular and Langevin Dynamics Simulations

The determination of gyration radius is a strong research for configuration of a Macromolecule. Italso reflects molecular compactness shape. In this work, to characterize the behavior of theprotein, we observe quantities such as the radius of gyration and the average energy. We studiedthe changes of these factors as a function of temperature for Acetylcholine receptor protein in gasphase with n...

Molecular Insight into the Mutual Interactions of Two Transmembrane Domains of Human Glycine Receptor (TM23-GlyR), with the Lipid Bilayers

Appearing as a computational microscope, MD simulation can ‘zoom in’ to atomic resolution to assess detailed interactions of a membrane protein with its surrounding lipids, which play important roles in the stability and function of such proteins. This study has employed the molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, to determine the effect of added DMPC or DMTAP molecules on the structure of D...

MUSCARINIC RECEPTOR SUBTYPES IN SMOOTH MUSCLE FROM THE BODY OF HUMAN STOMACH

Up to date, there are four pharmacologically characterized subtypes of muscarinic receptors (M1, M2, M3 and M4). In our study we have investigated muscarinic receptor subtypes in smooth muscle layers of human stomach. Isolated preparations of longitudinal and circular muscle layers from human stomach were used. Acetylcholine, bethanechol, carbachol, pilocarpine and AHR -602 produced concen...

Brain and muscle nicotinic acetylcholine receptors are different but homologous proteins.

An alpha-bungarotoxin-binding protein was purified from chick optic lobe and brain by an improved method. Previous and present observations justify its designation as a brain nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (AcChoR). It contains subunits whose apparent molecular weights are somewhat larger than those of subunits of peripheral AcChoRs. The size of the optic lobe AcChoR complex is greater than t...

Molecular docking study of Papaver alkaloids to some alkaloid receptors

Background and objectives: More than 40 different alkaloids have been obtained from opium the most important of which are morphine, codeine, papaverine, noscapine and tabaine. Opioid alkaloids produce analgesia by affecting areas of the brain that have peptides with pharmacological pseudo-opioid properties. These alkaloids show important effects on some intracellular peptides l...
